There are some places in India where faith does not just live—it breathes, it listens, and it responds.
Salasar Balaji in Rajasthan is one such sacred land where people don’t just come to pray…they come with pain, hope, broken hearts, last wishes, and impossible problems. And somehow, in ways that defy logic, Hanuman ji answers them.
This is not just a temple.
This is an experience.

The Divine Story Behind Salasar Balaji
The story of Salasar Balaji is more than just a historical occurrence; it serves as a gentle reminder of how the Lord reaches out to His devotees in the most unexpected ways.
In 1755 (Vikram Samvat 1811, Shravan Shukla Navami), the peaceful village of Asota in Rajasthan experienced a miracle.
A local farmer was plowing his field when his tool hit something substantial. While removing the earth, he uncovered a heavenly idol of Lord Hanuman. The idol was unlike any other seen before: strong, caring, and powerful, with features that radiated a distinct grace.
When people saw the idol, a wave of devotion rippled over the village. This remarkable finding reached a famous devotee living in Salasar—Shri Mohandas Ji, a saint who had dedicated his life to Hanuman.
The Call of Devotion—Mohandas Ji’s Vision
For months, Mohandas Ji had been experiencing divine visions.
In deep meditation, he repeatedly saw Lord Hanuman in the exact same form as the idol found in Asota.
He felt a strong, unexplainable pull—as if Lord Balaji himself wished to come to Salasar.
When Mohandas Ji heard about the idol, he instantly knew in his heart:
“My Lord has appeared… and He is coming to me.”
The Journey of the Idol to Salasar
The villagers of Asota decided to send the idol to the place where the Lord wished to stay.
The idol was placed on a bullock cart, and the villagers prayed:
“Let the cart stop wherever Hanuman Ji desires to reside.”
The cart began its journey, and without any human direction, it kept moving steadily towards Salasar.
When it finally halted, it stopped right in front of Mohandas Ji’s hut.
The saint’s eyes filled with tears.
His devotion had called the Lord, and the Lord had answered.
The Temple Construction—A Divine Union of Faith
Once the idol reached Salasar, preparations began to build a temple worthy of the miracle.
Two sculptors joined the effort:
- Noor Mohammad
- Dau Ram
Their presence is remembered even today because the construction became a symbol of unity, devotion, and service beyond religion or community.
Within a short period, a beautiful temple took shape, radiating a powerful spiritual energy.
The idol installed here had the form that Mohandas Ji always visualized —
Hanuman Ji with a divine beard and moustache, standing in strength and compassion.

The Eternal Bond—Mohandas Ji’s Samadhi
After decades of service to his beloved Lord, Mohandas Ji finished his worldly journey.
In 1794 (Baisakh Shukla Trayodashi), he voluntarily entered Mahasamadhi, leaving a devotional legacy that may still be found across Salasar.
His samadhi became a sacred part of the temple complex, and his disciple Udayram Ji and his lineage continued to perform seva (temple worship).
Why Salasar Balaji Is So Popular Today
People believe:
- Balaji of Salasar grants wishes faster than any deity.
- He protects his devotees from black magic and unknown fears.
- He gives mental strength to those broken by life.
This is why you will always see:
- People tying coconuts with moli (a symbol of their wish)
- Devotees walking barefoot for miles
- Thousands coming on Chaitra Purnima and Ashvin Shukla Navami
People don’t come here with belief—they leave with proof.
Miracles that Still Happen Today
1. The Miracle of “Sankat Mochan”
Many devotees say that whenever life reaches a breaking point—financial problems, legal issues, fear, anxiety—Balaji shows a way where there is none.
People who were in deep depression say:
“I don’t know how… but after I visited Salasar, everything changed.”
2. The Story of the Broken Man Who Found Strength Again
A businessman from Jaipur, who lost everything, came to Salasar with no hope left. He prayed, cried, and tied a coconut at the temple.
Within 48 hours, he received a phone call that revived his entire business.
He visits every year now… not as a devotee with wishes, but as a devotee with gratitude.
3. The Miracle of Protection
Many people claim that the moment they step inside the temple, the fear that was haunting them for months suddenly vanishes.
Doctors call it psychology. Devotees call it Balaji’s presence.
4. The Woman Who Couldn’t Walk
A woman from Haryana came in a wheelchair due to a severe nerve issue. Her condition was irreversible.
But after darshan, she stood up—not fully healed—but enough to take 5–6 steps for the first time in years.
The doctors could not explain how it happened. But her family said:
“We know who healed her.”
5. The Healing of Relationships
Countless couples, families, and parents visit to resolve emotional struggles.
Many say that after offering “Savamani” at Salasar, unexpected peace enters their home.
Why People Still Travel Miles for Salasar Balaji
Because in modern life—where stress, fear, loss, and loneliness chase us every day—there is still one place where a devotee feels completely protected.
People say:
“Balaji doesn’t just fulfill wishes. He gives strength to face life.”
And that is what makes this temple truly divine.
If you ever feel lost…
If you ever feel like life is too heavy…
If you feel that nobody understands your pain…
Visit Salasar.
Sit quietly in front of Balaji.
You don’t even have to speak. He will listen to you
